Apartment Rental, Florence, Italy http://www.fodors.com/community/europe/apartment-rental-florence-italy.cfm Posted in: Europe Tagged: Italy If considering renting an apartment in Florence, Italy, I highly recommend going to www.houseinflorence.it. We had the best experience dealing with Federico Pieri at this address. He was quick to respond, competent, attentive to our needs, able to provide a choice of locations and costs, and totally trustworthy. Our apartment, directly facing the Duomo, was "old world" elegant, clean, spacious and adequately equipped - definitely adding to the magic of 2 months in Florence. Federico Pieri was attentive and cooperative, making communication easy and a pleasure.

As well as the wonders of Florence it was easy to take train trips to Pisa, Lucca, Siena and San Gimignano as Florence is a main rail hub. Check out www.houseinflorence.com if you'd like to rent instead of having a hotel room, I can recommend them tyedye33 Yes you can rent for less then a week. erousseau11 .....I am looking for specific information on a few apartments and locations in Florence so I can finalize my booking. .... convenience and easy to get into the main part of the town (between the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio)book my apartment. Review by Dan & Jo from CA http://www.slowtrav.com/italy/vr/review.asp?n=2810 2bed/2bath apartment near Duomo, Florence When; Mid-May 2007, 5 daysLocation, We were very fortunate to rent a beautiful apartment in the heart of Firenze (Florence). The apartment is located right across the street from the Duomo! It was wonderful.www.houseinflorence.comNearby Amenities , The apartment is conveniently located with excellent access to restaurants and historically interesting places. The House/Apartment , The apartment was in excellent shape. It's clean, spacious, and well-furnished. There are beautiful fresco ceilings in the living room and bedrooms.Agency and Representatives (and price), We were treated exceptionally well by everyone with whom we interacted. Federico was especially pleasant and helpful. His email address is: "E.T. Agency" . Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? Without a doubt, we would love to stay in the apartment again. Rest assured that the next time we are in Florence, we will do so. It was a wonderful experience. Review 180: Vigna Nuova and Parione, Apts.Recommended. Review by Kathy S. from TX http://www.slowtrav.com/italy/vr/review.asp?n=180 When; October, 2001, 8 nights apartment, Vigna Nuova (3bed/2.5bath) and Parione (2bed/2bath), Florence Location, Our group rented two apartments centrally located in Florence. The street, Vigna Nuova, is two bridges down from the Ponte Vecchio, and about a 10 minute walk from il Duomo. We liked the location as it was very centrally located. There was street noise, but because the bedrooms were located upstairs with only skylights opening to the outside (no windows) they were very quiet -- a rarity in Florence.Nearby Amenities, Several excellent restaurants were close by. Many food items could be bought at small stores within a 5-10 minute walk. There was a grocery store about a 20-minute walk away. The House/Apartment, The building is from the 1500's and is in very good shape. There are maybe a dozen other apartments in the building. Most open on to a central staircase. In the evenings we could smell and hear others preparing their evening meals. One morning we heard someone practicing opera.Problems or Bonuses, The agent we worked with, Federico Pieri, was wonderful. He answered all my (many) e-mails and met us at the apartment and walked us through it. He was available by phone whenever we had a question and had prepared materials (about sight-seeing, grocery stores, etc.) to help make our stay go smoothly. Each apartment also had a clothes washer (no dryer) and a dishwasher.BONUS: The "Vigna Nuova" apartment had a HUGE combination living/dining room |
